Overview

We are looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Manager to support ongoing fire compliance and fire door inspection works across MOD sites in Catterick Garrison. This role will involve visiting military properties to carry out fire compliance audits, inspect fire doors, and ensure all health & safety procedures are being followed correctly across multiple live environments. The position is ideally suited to a hands-on H&S professional with experience in compliance inspections, fire safety regulations, and site auditing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out fire door inspections and compliance checks across MOD properties
  • Ensure all health & safety procedures are being followed on site
  • Conduct site audits and identify areas requiring corrective action
  • Report on fire safety and compliance findings
  • Support implementation of updated safety procedures where required
  • Liaise with site teams and contractors to maintain high safety standards
  • Maintain accurate compliance documentation and reports

Requirements

  • Previous experience in Health & Safety management or fire compliance roles
  • Knowledge of fire door regulations and fire safety standards
  • Comfortable working across multiple military sites
  • Available to work a consistent 2 days per week
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
  • Full UK driving licence preferred

Compliance Requirements

  • Hold or be willing to obtain a Basic DBS check
  • Complete the Vivo background screening process
  • Be eligible to work within secure environments
  • UK passport holders preferred
