Salary: £50,000-£65,000 per annum + package, depending on experience

We are currently recruiting for an experienced M&E Project Engineer with a strong electrical background to join a growing M&E business in West Yorkshire. This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced engineer who is comfortable taking ownership of projects from start to finish and has a strong understanding of electrical and wider M&E project delivery.

The Role

As an M&E Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing projects through the full lifecycle, working closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing and re-evaluating projects against initial estimates
  • Procuring materials and managing the buying process
  • Developing and maintaining project programmes
  • Overseeing site delivery, ensuring quality and efficiency
  • Managing health and safety compliance
  • Preparing valuations and managing variations, including pricing
  • Managing projects through to final account and handover
  • Supporting the estimating function during busy periods where required
  • Taking ownership of project delivery from commencement through to completion

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • A strong electrical background with a good understanding of full M&E delivery
  • Previous experience delivering M&E projects within the construction or building services sector
  • Proven experience managing projects from start to finish
  • Strong commercial awareness, including valuations and variations
  • Good procurement and project programming experience
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership and work independently

The Opportunity
