BACKGROUND: CIVIL ENGINEERING

Reports To: Project Manager - Civil Engineering

Role Purpose

Support the Project Manager in delivering the Civil Engineering package for a large scale Civil Engineering project, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of civil engineering works including earthworks, foundations, reinforced concrete, drainage, roads and fencing.
  • Monitor programme, cost, quality and contractor performance.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, engineers, suppliers and client representatives.
  • Assist with planning, progress reporting and risk management.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
  • Review drawings, technical queries, method statements and construction documentation.
  • Support commercial activities including variations, procurement and payment assessments.
  • Attend site meetings and maintain accurate project records.
