Our client has been in the industry for over 100 years and has built a renowned reputation for delivering complete construction solutions for some of the UK’s biggest businesses. Due to an increase in workload, our client is looking to appoint a Senior Contracts Manager that can deliver high-level fitout & refurbishment projects in the commercial and retail sector on a nationwide basis. This is for a forward-thinking business that is offering working from home and flexibility to accommodate modern life.
The Role
Senior Contracts Manager delivering Banking Fit Out projects across Scotland ranging in value (100k – 3m+).
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications
As the Senior Contracts Manager , you must possess the following:
- Prepared to travel across Scotland for client, site meetings and project visits.
- A good communicator, able to deal with a range of people, tasks and obligations.
- Ideally have experience of working on frameworks (Banking, Retail, Commercial) delivering fit out projects.
- Commercial knowledge and ability to negotiate terms with a range of parties.
- Well organised, self-starter, able to implement procedures and effectively manage all aspects of the works.
Duties
- Reporting to the Business Unit Director.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Enforce on labour selection and delegation.
- Assist with project procurement requirements.
- Write and update project programmes.
- Attend meetings for the agreement of final accounts.
- Post contract liaison with clients.
- Manage and value variations.
- Placing sub-contract orders.
- Sub-contract negotiation and letting.
- Allocate site supervision in accordance with scheme complexity.
- Identify and on-board new subcontractors to support the business growth agenda.
- Undertake comprehensive supplier reviews.
- Identify cost saving opportunities and develop operational plans for implementation.
- Develop a strategy to drive consistency & improve quality of delivery.
- Ensure all work is carried out in a safe, efficient manner and in compliance with company specification.
