Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major civil engineering project in Bury St Edmunds. You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the works, ensuring accuracy on site, maintaining quality standards, and assisting with the day-to-day engineering requirements of the project.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering projects
- Strong setting out and surveying experience
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of QA processes and site documentation
- Competent using surveying equipment and engineering software
- Relevant CSCS qualification (SMSTS/SSSTS advantageous)
Responsibilities:
- Carry out setting out and surveying duties
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings and specifications
- Maintain accurate site records and QA documentation
- Liaise with the Site Agent, Project Manager, and subcontractors
- Monitor quality, progress, and compliance with health and safety standards
- Assist with planning and resolving on-site engineering issues
