Purpose

The Group Accountant is responsible for delivering high-quality technical accounting support, statutory and tax reporting, and accurate and timely group consolidation. The role will also lead our annual external audit process and support the broader finance function in ensuring there is robust financial control, compliance and reporting across the group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist guidance on complex accounting matters, including revenue recognition, impairment, lease accounting, business combinations, provisions, and financial instruments as the Group transitions to the updated FRS102 (and in due course IFRS).
  • Review new accounting standards and assess their impact on the group.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies, ensuring consistent application across all subsidiaries.
  • Support the business with accounting treatments for M experience with reporting tools beneficial.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of integration of new acquisitions.
  • Experience of using NetSuite.

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS/UK GAAP).
  • Excellent analytical and consolidation skills.
