About the Role: As a Biological Applications Scientist, you will play a key role in advancing the development and real‑world application of our novel sensor platform. Working within our world‑class laboratory, you will:
- Design, refine, and validate assays, preparing biological reagents
- Ensure smooth day‑to‑day lab operations and maintain laboratory standards
- Lead comparative studies against alternative biosensor technologies
- Analyse complex datasets and translate findings into clear, actionable reports
Alongside your lab‑based work, you will:
- Collaborate widely across the organisation and beyond
- Present results to colleagues
- Manage projects with external validation partners
- Represent us at conferences and exhibitions to showcase our capability and potential
About You: To be considered for this position, you will need:
- Experience working in a research laboratory (industrial or academic)
- At least 12 months’ experience running biological assays via ELISA or other label‑free technologies OR 12 months’ experience developing novel biochemical coupling layers
- Experience writing, reviewing, and following Standard Operating Procedures
- High competency in numeracy, IT, and presentation skills
- The ability to work in a team
- A degree (or equivalent qualification) in biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or a closely relevant subject
