We are hiring on behalf of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council for an IT Technical Support Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide client friendly ICT support to colleagues and elected members of the Council to help ensure consistent and secure access to core ICT services, dealing with a range of complex systems.
  • Support the implementation of reliable, secure ICT Systems across the organisation and to external partners.
  • Support in the development, management and control of Council's desktop and laptop services.
  • Contribute to the plan for Council's ICT Operations.
  • Ensure that the department complies with all statutory and legislative requirements by adhering to these requirements and working in accordance with good governance and health and safety requirements.

A minimum of five GCSE's (Grades A-C), or equivalent, including English and Mathematics.

AND

Level 3 qualification, or equivalent in a relevant ICT related discipline such as Computer Science, Computing and Information Technology, Information Management.

OR

Alternatively, consideration will be given to applicants who do not possess the required educational qualifications outlined above but can demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that they have at least one year's experience working in the field of ICT Service delivery to include the areas outlined above.

A full current driving licence (Category B, valid in the UK) and access to a vehicle that will enable the post holder to meet the requirements of the post OR have access to a form of transport that enables you to carry out the duties of the post.
