The predicted salary is between 39862 - 42839 £ per year.

To contribute to the delivery of an effective Environmental Health service which is customer focused, innovative and value for money. To undertake inspections of commercial and domestic premises, to investigate complaints and accidents, to enforce relevant statutory provisions and to provide advice and make recommendations to the public, commercial, governmental organisations.

Ensure that the department complies with all statutory and legislative requirements by adhering to these requirements and working in accordance with good governance and health and safety requirements. Ensure that all responsibilities are carried out in a timely and effective manner and that general confidentiality is maintained in all areas relating to the work of the Council.

Applications for secondment from relevant local government organisations or public sector bodies will also be considered. Candidates wishing to apply on this basis must have the prior support of their current employer before applying.

A reserve list may be established in order to fill future permanent and temporary posts that may arise for another similar vacancy within the following 18 months. Should a similar post become available within this time period, the post may be offered to those candidates on the reserve list, in order of merit, without the requirement for a further interview.
