Job summary:

  • Operational management of the Council's Holiday and Leisure Parks and motorhome Parks, including administration, procurement, contract management, building and grounds maintenance, cleaning, catering and vending, site security and health and safety/welfare of employees and Park users, in accordance with statutory legislation.
  • Commercial development and promotion of Council's Holiday and Leisure Parks and motor-home facilities.
  • The strategic development of the Parks, through engagement, development of business plans/feasibility assessments, prioritising interventions to ensure Park sustainability and future commercial viability.
  • Maximise the revenue and profit from the facilities through customer focused service delivery, improving efficiency, reducing operating costs and opportunities for revenue generating activities, whilst remaining competitive and profitable.
  • Ensure the provision of a strong customer focus and quality provision of the visitor experience, along with best practice in land management and environmental sustainability.
  • Promote the benefits and facilitate the existence of any Council Park Occupiers Associations as representative bodies and provide an administrative function for engagement and consultation.
  • Ensure that the department complies with all statutory and legislative requirements by adhering to these requirements and working in accordance with good governance and health and safety requirements.
  • Ensure that all responsibilities are carried out in a timely and effective manner and that general confidentiality is maintained in all areas relating to the work of the Council.
