Manage the delivery of an effective Corporate Communications and Marketing service across a range of Council Directorates to ensure the coordinated provision of a modern and responsive service.
Senior Responsible Officer in relation to Corporate Communications and Marketing. Responsible for the development and implementation of the Corporate Communications & Marketing Strategy.
Provide advice and support to the Chief Executive, Senior Management Team, Heads of Service, Mayor, Deputy Mayor and other elected representatives in the provision of expert advice, with an understanding of the political and sensitive context.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key external stakeholders, ministerial, parliamentary or Assembly departments and a variety of other public, community and voluntary sector bodies.
Ensure that the department complies with all statutory and legislative requirements by adhering to these requirements and working in accordance with good governance and health and safety requirements.
Ensure that all responsibilities are carried out in a timely and effective manner and that general confidentiality is maintained in all areas relating to the work of the Council.
