The predicted salary is between 42000 - 60000 Β£ per year.
The management of the Building Control function within the Health and Built Environment section, including human, physical and financial resources. This includes all matters which fall under Building Regulations legislation including the validation and processing of statutory and non-statutory fees as well as carrying out pre-application consultations, street naming and postal numbering, the processing of property certificates, dealing with dangerous structures, dilapidated buildings and neglected sites, the enforcement of energy performance of Buildings Regulations, the completion of fire risk assessments and disability access audits with respect to council buildings.
The co-ordination and delivery of the Energy Efficiency Advice Service and Home Accident Prevention Service, and advice to internal customers with respect to licensing where appropriate. This post will have the responsibility for developing, delivering and leading statutory inspection programmes, education and the enforcement of relevant legislation.
A reserve list may be established in order to fill future permanent and temporary posts that may arise for another similar vacancy within the following 12 months. The post may be offered on a full-time, part-time, permanent, temporary or fixed-term basis.
