About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and organized Business Operations Director to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the company’s strategic initiatives by driving operational excellence, coordinating board meetings, and overseeing high-impact projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and contribute to the organization’s growth and efficiency.
What you will do:
- Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across business processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Analyze current operational workflows and identify areas for optimization; work with departments to implement improvements.
- Strategic Project Management: Oversee and manage strategic projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and deliverables, ensuring all teams are aligned and informed. Develop and manage project plans, monitor progress, and adjust resources and timelines as needed to ensure successful outcomes. Provide regular updates and performance reports to senior management, identifying potential risks and proposing solutions.
- Key Meetings Coordination: Support on the preparation of board meeting materials for board and executive leadership meetings. Gather and organize reports, presentations, and briefing documents for board members.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between teams, facilitating clear communication and collaboration on shared initiatives. Support project management efforts, ensuring key projects stay on track and meet deadlines.
What is needed to succeed:
- Leadership experience delivering complex projects with senior stakeholders (e.g. as Engagement Manager of a strategy consulting firm).
- Strong project management skills in complex scenarios, including experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana, MS Project).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data for strategic decision-making.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Strong presenter, both in person and virtually.
