Are you an experienced Environmental Permitting Consultant with a minimum of 5 years of proven experience? Would you relish the opportunity to be part of a company where you can work both autonomously, and as part of a wider professional team, where you will have genuine opportunities to develop your career further? Caulmert currently has an opportunity for an enthusiastic professional to work in the Company’s Environment Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Project management and production of permit applications
  • Reviewing of technical documents, interpreting data and report writing
  • Communicating with clients and external parties (e.g. Environment Agency) to progress projects
  • Managing legislative issues for Clients and maintaining an awareness of how legislation impacts projects
  • Provide guidance and support to other in-house disciplines
  • Promoting the company’s services and being alert to new opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in environmental sciences, or a related environmental discipline
  • At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in Environmental Permitting
  • Thorough understanding of UK environmental legislation and the Environmental Permitting regime in England and Wales

Required Skills:

  • Proven skills in undertaking and managing environmental permit applications
  • Project management experience
  • Well-organised and able to prioritise workload with minimal supervision
  • Client-focused approach with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Efficient report-writing skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy of own work
