We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Co-Educator to join our team at the Malvern Campus starting in January 2026 on a Part Time (11:00am – 2:15pm Monday to Friday), 2 year fixed term basis to cover lunches, required during term time only. As a valued member of our team, you will report to the ELC Coordinator and actively collaborate with our teachers and fellow assistants. Together, you will focus on creating and implementing a child-centric learning program in an environment that promotes students' growth, development, and overall well-being, tailored to their unique requirements.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage with all four student groups, providing crucial support, particularly for children with additional needs. Proficiency in Mandarin and substantial prior experience of working with children with additional needs will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the design and implementation of teaching activities and strategies based on knowledge of student’s physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics to improve student learning.
  • Actively contribute ideas resulting in implementation of a stimulating educational program for students that reflect current research and best practice models in early childhood.
  • Support the ELC teacher in all aspects of the management of student behaviour, and organisation of the centre.
  • Contribute to the developmental records for each individual student, both written and verbal, under the guidance of the teacher.
  • Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviour.
Role Requirements
  • Diploma of Early Childhood and Care.
  • Experience with three-, four- and five-year-olds is essential.
  • Current First Aid Certificate Level 1, Anaphylaxis Certificate, and Asthma training.
  • Employment Working With Children Check.
