An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Internship in Forestry and Woodland Management with Carsphairn Community Woodland Ltd. Carsphairn Community Woodland manages a 49-hectare mixed woodland, Muirdrochwood Forest, on behalf of the Carsphairn community. The woodland is located in the beautiful Galloway Hills of the Glenkens, South West Scotland, and supports sustainable forestry, community access, and local engagement.
This internship offers a practical introduction to community forestry and woodland management within a supportive, real-world working environment. The internship is supported through CatStrand’s Cultural Glenkens Programme, made possible by support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
- Contract: 6 months
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 9.00am–4.30pm)
- Pay: Real Living Wage
