Catsnake is a story agency. We help charities and non-profits tell stories that inspire change, educate and raise money for causes that matter. Our clients include UNICEF, WWF, Amnesty International and London Museum. As a full-service agency our work spans strategy, fundraising, film, content and integrated campaigns. We're a friendly, collaborative team based at Somerset House, and we’re growing – including into the USA.

This is a senior strategic role responsible for shaping high-performing fundraising, engagement and behaviour change campaigns for charity clients. Working across clients, creative teams and media partners, you will define audience, channel and investment strategy, challenge briefs, and ensure recommendations are grounded in evidence, insight and performance data. You will bring strong strategic judgement, help clients make better decisions, and play a key role in delivering campaign effectiveness, donor growth and long-term supporter value.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop integrated campaign strategies for fundraising, legacy, acquisition, retention and behaviour change campaigns.
  • Interrogate client briefs and assess whether proposed campaign approaches will achieve client objectives.
  • Define audience segmentation, targeting and channel strategies.
  • Work with data auditors to understand data and supporter landscapes.
  • Recommend campaign investment and media allocation across channels.
  • Develop campaign frameworks that align creative, media and fundraising objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve effectiveness, efficiency and ROI.
  • Write and deliver compelling pitch decks, strategic documents and presentations to clients.
PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS
  • Analyse campaign, fundraising and audience data to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Use audience insight, market intelligence, platform best practice and performance data to inform recommendations.
  • Understand the strengths and limitations of different fundraising and communications channels.
  • Stay up to date with platform algorithm updates and fundraising requirements.
  • Develop testing and optimisation strategies.
  • Forecast campaign performance and establish realistic success measures where appropriate.
  • Work closely with creative teams to ensure campaign concepts align with strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with media agencies and specialist partners on audience targeting and channel planning.
  • Create clear campaign briefs that guide creative and media development.
  • Ensure campaign plans are coherent across paid, owned and earned channels.
  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to clients.
  • Facilitate campaign planning workshops and stakeholder discussions.
  • Present recommendations, campaign plans and strategic rationale clearly and persuasively.
AGENCY DEVELOPMENT
  • Contribute to the growth of Catsnake's campaign planning and strategic offering.
  • Share fundraising and campaign best practice across the agency.
  • Support the development of strategic frameworks, planning tools and ways of working.
  • Take ownership of Catsnake’s Adaptive Acquisition product, ensuring it continues to evolve and deliver strong results.
  • Work with internal teams and clients to implement and refine digital acquisition strategies.
  • Champion a culture of learning, iteration and effectiveness.
IDEAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Strong understanding of channel planning across digital, social, DRTV, direct mail, paid media and integrated campaigns.
  • Experience developing audience segmentation and targeting strategies.
  • Knowledge of charity fundraising audiences and supporter behaviour.
  • Experience working with media agencies and campaign delivery partners.
  • Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience evaluating campaign performance and applying learnings to future planning.
