Our clients include UNICEF, WWF, Amnesty International and London Museum. As a full-service agency our work spans from strategy to film and integrated campaigns. We're a friendly, collaborative team based at Somerset House, and we’re growing – including into the USA. We’re looking for a Creative Strategist to play a key role in shaping the effectiveness and impact of our work.

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for developing insight-led creative strategies that drive action, improve performance, and create meaningful impact for our charity clients. This is a senior hire, and you will be expected to lead the strategy for the agency and manage and collaborate with freelance strategists. You will work closely with the Creative Director and wider team to shape propositions, campaigns and stewardship journeys, ensuring all work is grounded in strong audience understanding and creative strategic thinking. You will also help shape Catsnake’s brand and communication strategy.

We’re looking for someone who loves digging into the detail of audience research and surfacing surprising, relatable insights. Someone ambitious and creative, who is always looking to improve research methods, challenge established thinking and pushes for work that’s both original and effective.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The main responsibility of the Creative Strategist is to develop and deliver high-quality, insight-driven strategies that improve the performance and impact of creative work across the agency.

THE SPECIFICS

  • Strategy and Insight: Develop innovative, insight-led creative strategies across campaigns, content and digital channels. Create strategies for propositions, messaging frameworks and stewardship journeys that drive engagement and long‑term value. Design and conduct audience, market and behavioural research to inform strategic direction (both independently and in collaboration with research agencies). Analyse performance data and testing results to generate clear, actionable insights. Ensure all strategic thinking is grounded in both creativity and evidence.
  • Creative Development & Delivery: Work closely with writers, designers and filmmakers to bring strategies to life through compelling creative work. Challenge and focus client briefs. Create clear, inspiring internal briefs that enable strong creative output. Ensure all work aligns with client objectives and delivers measurable results. Write and deliver compelling pitch decks, strategic documents and presentations to clients. Develop and facilitate workshops with clients and audience focus groups. Work closely with the Creative Director to shape the agency’s strategic offering. Collaborate with project managers and client teams to ensure strategic alignment across projects. Act as a key strategic voice within the agency, contributing to overall thinking and direction. Support the development of best practice in strategy, insight and effectiveness across the business.

IDEAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrable experience in a creative strategy role within a creative agency, production company or similar environment.
  • Proven experience developing effective strategies for brand propositions and campaigns.
  • A strong analytical mindset, with experience using data and insight to inform creative decisions.
  • Experience working with testing frameworks, optimisation and performance analysis.
  • Confidence creating and presenting strategic work to clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, writing and storytelling skills.
  • Highly organised, proactive and detail‑oriented.

WHO YOU ARE

  • A passionate believer in the power of creativity and storytelling to make a positive impact.
  • A strategic thinker with a strong analytical mind.
  • Curious, insight‑driven and always looking to improve how things work.
  • Confident presenting ideas and explaining thinking clearly and persuasively.
  • Collaborative, open and comfortable working across teams.
  • Excited by the opportunity to shape and evolve how an agency approaches strategy.

  • Enjoy a hybrid work environment, offering the flexibility to balance office and remote working.
  • Be part of a passionate team working on meaningful, creative projects for leading charities.
  • Play a central role in shaping the future of an ambitious, values‑driven agency entering an exciting new stage of growth, including expansion into the US.

If you’re someone who can turn insight into ideas, data into direction, and strategy into work that genuinely moves people, we’d love to hear from you.
