At Stafford House Study Holidays, we welcome over 6,000 young learners (aged 8-17) from around the world each summer. Our mission is to help students improve their English through engaging classroom lessons and a lively program of activities and excursions.
As Excursions Manager, you will be at the heart of the summer experience, turning city tours, historic landmarks, and theme park trips into safe, seamless, and unforgettable adventures. You will be responsible for confirming bookings, liaising with external suppliers (e.g. coach companies) and working with centre staff to ensure everything is in place for each trip. You will also support a team of Activity Leaders, Senior Activity Leaders, and Teachers, giving briefings and assigning tasks so that our excursions are enjoyable and meet student expectations.
Locations: Oakham, Leicestershire
Contracts: Contract of 4-6 weeks from 16th June to 9th August 2025 depending on school you work at. This can be a little flexible. You must be available to attend our training weekend on 19th June 2026.
Hours: 60 hours per week over 6 days - this includes some night time duties on a rota basis. This is a fully immersive management role, and we provide full board accommodation.

Pay: £762.60 per week + holiday entitlement
Emergency Phone Payment: up to £40 per week (£20 per night payments for emergency phone cover anticipated 2x per week)
Loyalty Payments: (if applicable) – £33 per week Paid at the end of your contract
Incentive: Employees may receive a £500 discount on CELTA training course provided by Stafford House, post qualifying contract (T&Cs apply. Contact us for more information).
What We're Looking For In An Excursions Manager:
- Experience running excursions, activity, or leisure programmes, ideally in a summer or school setting.
- Highly organised with excellent logistical skills, able to coordinate bookings, suppliers, and resources.
- Computer literate, able to use IT to manage schedules, materials, and reporting.
- Friendly and customer-focused, liaising effectively with schools, group leaders, and external partners.
- Calm under pressure, able to think on your feet and solve problems quickly.
- Supportive and motivating leader, managing your team while ensuring the safety and enjoyment of staff and students.
Safeguarding: all successful candidates will undergo pre-employment checks, including an Enhanced DBS, in line with safer recruitment policies and Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025. Right to work in the UK (Full time) is essential. As a manager, you will carry out night duties on a rota basis.
