Do you have a background in summer schools, boarding schools or universities, with expertise in student accommodation and welfare? Join one of our fantastic summer centres as a Welfare & Accommodation Manager and take the opportunity to enhance your management skills and enjoy a varied and exciting role over the summer holidays.

At Stafford House Study Holidays, we welcome over 6,000 students (ages 8-17) from overseas during the summer to help them improve their English. Students stay for up to 2 weeks, taking part in a rich academic, activities and excursions programme. Our students stay in our school residences, supported by our dedicated Student Welfare team. Much like House Parents, our Student Welfare Officers support students' pastoral and well-being needs, ensuring every student feels safe, comfortable, and supported.

As a Welfare & Accommodation Manager, you will support the running of the Student Welfare team, working closely with the Welfare and Office Manager, Centre Director, and Head Office team.

Contracts: Select a contract of 4-6 weeks, from mid June to mid/end August. You must be available in July, as this is our busy period. Since you will be providing wrap-around care for our students, it is necessary to be residential for the duration of the contract. Good news! You don’t need to be local to our school locations to apply!

Hours: 60 hours per week over 6 days. This is a fully immersive management role. We provide you with full-board accommodation during your contract.

What are we looking for in our Welfare and Accommodation Manager?

  • Confidence: with a good understanding of how to work professionally
  • Management experience: you’ll write weekly rotas, liaise with group leaders and the welfare team, lead meetings, and manage overall pastoral needs
  • Administrative skills: you will allocate accommodation, manage transfers and supervision rotas, ensure housekeeping duties are met, and liaise with Group Leaders
  • Great organisation: you’ll coordinate airport transfers and manage catering needs for students
  • Supportive attitude: you will mentor your Student Welfare team and provide pastoral support for holistic student well-being
  • Be a great Communicator with a good level of spoken and written English.
  • Energetic and resilient: ready to work 60 hours per week over 6 days in a fully immersive management role

Safeguarding is a big part of the job, and we take it seriously. If successful we will conduct full pre-employment checks including an Enhanced DBS check, in line with our safer recruitment policy and Keeping Children Safe in Education. You will act as Designated Safeguarding Leader and manage all Health & Safety aspects of the programme.

Right to work in the UK full-time is essential. You must be available to attend our Management Training Weekend on 19th June 2025.
