Bournemouth Collegiate School is seeking an enthusiastic, caring and motivated Graduate Boarding Assistant to join our vibrant boarding community. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate looking to gain valuable experience within a busy boarding school environment, while developing skills in pastoral care, education, co-curricular activities and residential life.

The Role

Working as part of our dedicated boarding team, the Graduate Boarding Assistant will help provide a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for our pupils.

The successful candidate will:

• Support the Houseparent and boarding team with the day-to-day running of the boarding house
• Build positive and professional relationships with pupils
• Provide pastoral support and encouragement to boarders
• Supervise pupils during evenings, weekends and boarding activities
• Assist with the organisation and delivery of trips, activities and events
• Encourage pupils to participate fully in the life of the boarding community
• Support pupils with study, routines and independent living
• Promote high standards of behaviour, safeguarding and pupil welfare

A particular interest or specialism in Rugby would be highly desirable. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to our sporting programme and support pupils in developing their skills, confidence and enjoyment of the game.

Previous experience of working with children or young people would be advantageous, but enthusiasm, character and a willingness to learn are equally important.
