The Head of Mathematics will provide strategic leadership and management of the Mathematics Department, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, achievement, and student progress across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. The postholder will lead curriculum development, support and develop teaching staff, and promote excellence in mathematics education within an international school environment.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a closely related discipline.
- Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
Essential Experience
- Significant experience teaching Mathematics at KS4 and KS5.
- Proven track record of strong examination results.
- Experience leading a team or holding a position of responsibility within a Mathematics Department.
- Experience with international curricula and diverse student populations.
Essential Knowledge and Skills
- Strong subject knowledge across secondary and post-16 mathematics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
