JOB OVERVIEW
This is a full‑time, temporary role based in the Admissions Team in Cambridge to start as soon as possible until the end of September 2026. The post holder will be required to assist the team with student applications and processing them accurately and efficiently, issue supporting paperwork in an accurate and timely manner and ensure smooth pre‑arrival for all new students.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with excellent administration and organisation skills who can build relationships quickly and likes to partner with colleagues from the CATS Global Sales Teams, overseas offices and colleges. They will provide a fast, efficient and welcoming service for all customers, internal and external, proactively pursuing student recruitment and conversion.
From time to time the post holder will be required to undertake project work as directed by the Head of Admissions. During peak seasons and busy periods, the post holder may be required to work weekends with prior notice and agreement. This weekend work may include supporting the meeting and greeting of students at UK airports. This role is offered on a hybrid working arrangement with 2/3 days in the office. It is a fixed‑term contract with the opportunity to apply for a permanent role in the future.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB
- Process direct student applications from initial enquiry to arrival, ensuring turn‑around times and accuracy are within agreed standards.
- Prepare accurate and timely paperwork, including but not limited to offer packs and pre‑arrival information documents.
- Pro‑actively manage pre‑arrival processes for the new incoming students in close cooperation with college teams, ensuring accurate visa and arrival information is captured and excellent customer service is delivered.
- Maintain the accuracy and completeness of student databases and agent information for compliance purposes.
- Maintain positive and constructive relations with colleagues across the CATS Global Schools Group.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of the relevant Admissions software, processes and databases.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of the CATS Global Schools Group portfolio of colleges, courses and entry requirements to provide accurate advice and assessment to applicants.
- Support where required, the meet and greet service offered to students arriving at UK airports over the arrival weekend.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
EducationEducated to A level or above.
Experience- Experience of CRM systems/customer databases. (Desirable)
- Experience of working in a global business and/or education environment. (Desirable)
- Experience in a distance sales environment. (Desirable)
- Knowledge of the UKVI Points Based System and US SEVP. (Desirable)
- Strong administrative skills, with the ability to manage a busy workload, prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- A high level of professionalism and excellent customer service skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, cultural awareness and sensitivity.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office package.
- Ability to speak a foreign language. (Desirable)
