Overview Of The Job

The role is vitally important to the residential team structure with responsibility for management of the residential provision and commitment to ensuring the health and wellbeing of our international boarding students. You will assist students in their daily lives, providing pastoral care and activity enrichment to improve their residential experience while working with the Head of Boarding and Residential Life to expand the boarding provision.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Knowledge of National Minimum Standards (NMS), Independent Schools Statutory Regulations (ISI) and other relevant current child protection legislation.
  • Experience in and the ability to work with, care for and supervise young people.
  • Well‑developed IT skills.
  • High standards set for themselves and others.
  • Background/experience in an area relevant to potential student activities.
  • Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure.
  • Positive, resilient, and solution‑focused attitude to working life.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • High levels of energy, an even temper and a sense of humour.
  • Willingness to appropriately reprimand and/or report students who are not adhering to the College rules with compassion and respect.
