A Day in the Life

As the Delivery Assurance and Change Lead, you will providethe governance, assurance and control framework that enables effective deliveryand change across Basic Flying Training (BFT) and Fast Jet Training at RAFValley. Working at the heart of the organisation, you will bring structure,visibility and control to a complex operational environment, ensuring leadershave the information, insight and confidence needed to make informed decisions.

Working across customer, supplier and internal teams, youwill build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure:

  • Change activity is planned, coordinated anddelivered through an integrated and controlled schedule.
  • Risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies areidentified, managed and escalated appropriately.
  • Decisions, actions and commitments are recorded,tracked and delivered to closure.
  • Leadership has clear, accurate and timely SQCDPEreporting based on objective performance data.

More broadly, working as part of the site leadership team,you will:

  • Establish and maintain governance arrangementsthat support effective delivery and decision-making.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives thatstrengthen planning, control, reporting and assurance disciplines.
  • Build delivery assurance capability across theBusiness Unit, helping teams adopt effective delivery practices.
  • Share best practice and lessons learned acrossthe wider enterprise.

What Will Make You Successful

You will already have a strong background in deliveryassurance, business governance, operational planning, performance reporting orbusiness change within a complex environment. You will have experienceintroducing structure and control into delivery environments whilst maintaininga practical focus on outcomes.

You will thrive in a dynamic environment where prioritiesevolve, competing demands must be balanced and stakeholder engagement isessential to success. You will be comfortable providing constructive challenge,influencing decision-makers and translating complex information into meaningfulmanagement insight. Strong communication skills and the confidence to operatecredibly with senior military, customer and industry stakeholders areessential.

And you will also:

  • Have strong planning and organisational skills,with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and competing prioritieswithin a complex stakeholder environment.
  • Be able to analyse data and produce clear,concise reporting that drives effective decision-making and performanceimprovement.
  • Have experience applying governance, changecontrol, risk management and assurance processes in a delivery environment.
  • Be able to facilitate delivery reviews,governance forums and performance discussions, holding stakeholdersconstructively to account.
  • Have a genuine commitment to continuousimprovement, governance excellence and values-led leadership .
  • Knowledge of UKMFTS, military aviation, deliveryassurance or operational delivery within a regulated environment isadvantageous, as is experience of supporting change and transformationinitiatives

This role is full time, 40 hours per week and provides a stable Monday to Friday work schedule.

This role requires successful candidates obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.
