The Rutland and District Schools\' Federation (Catmose College, Harington School and Catmose Primary) is recruiting cleaners to join the Facilities Management Team.
Position Details
- Post 1 FTE – £24,648 per annum, 4pm‑6pm, 10 hours per week, term time only (37 weeks per year), based at Catmose Primary.
- Post 2 FTE – £24,648 per annum, 10 hours per week, term time only, 37 weeks per year, based at Catmose College.
Job Purpose
Maintain a clean environment at each Federation site, demonstrating initiative, reliability and a flexible approach to ensure all sites are well maintained.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safety and cleaning to the highest possible standard.
- Clean buildings and grounds to agreed standards and specifications using appropriate materials and equipment.
- Wipe down and clean all work surfaces, walls, ledges, sills, radiators and windows.
- Move books, materials or furniture to enable effective cleaning.
- Clean floor surfaces, including carpeted areas, and clean lights, shades and diffusers when required.
- Replenish toilet requisites, checking regularly that soap and toilet tissues are available.
- Deal with graffiti, empty litter bins and take a proactive stand to keep sites litter‑free.
- Report all incidents or hazards to line managers promptly.
- Support Federation rules, policies and procedures and contribute to monitoring success and transformational improvement.
Qualifications
- Successful DBS check and proof of identity and qualifications gained.
- Good organisational and time‑management skills and a flexible approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
