Wellesley Nursery are looking for a kind, caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our friendly team. • Hours of Work: Full Time




• Monday - Friday (between 8am and 6pm)




• Age groups From age 2

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties

• Support children throughout their day, providing high-quality care and encouragement in a warm and nurturing environment




• Help deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences that inspire curiosity, confidence and independence




• Encourage children to explore, discover and learn through indoor and outdoor activities




• Support daily routines including mealtimes, toileting, rest periods and personal care




• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues




• Assist in creating an environment where every child feels a genuine sense of belonging




• Supervise and support children during outdoor learning opportunities, woodland adventures and wider nursery activities




• Help maintain a safe, stimulating and well-organised learning environment




• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies at all times




• Contribute positively to team meetings, training and ongoing professional development

Skills & Experience

• A naturally kind, patient and nurturing approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills




• The ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues




• A positive attitude and willingness to learn




• Previous experience working with young children




• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
