The ideal candidate will be responsible for in-house legal matters including drafting agreements, addressing compliance issues, and participating in negotiation discussions. In order to succeed, this candidate should feel comfortable working with in-house and outside counsels on a variety of legal matters.
Sole counsel for UK to support the growth of the new subsidiary and building of compliance systems to ensure transparent operations. Based on the commercial policies of the Company, support front sales in the commercial work during the new energy storage projects bidding, take charge of the splitting, negotiation, and finalizing of all commercial contracts. During the project execution stage, collaborate closely with internal departments and external clients to ensure smooth project performance, proactively and systematically track and manage contract risks already identified during the negotiation stage.
Keep an in-depth understanding of regulations and policies in the overseas energy storage market, provide timely updates on regulatory changes impact on the business and propose effective mitigation solutions for contract management. Take charge of special projects related to commercial management for overseas energy storage market, particularly those involving innovative business models. Managing corporate governance, employment, and compliance, including training.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, or International Business, or related discipline.
- Admitted to practice law in the UK.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in the photovoltaic and/or energy storage industry, basic knowledge on company finance, tax, and international trade.
- Proven expertise in business negotiation, especially international contract negotiation, with good logic and risk-sensitive.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Demonstrates strong teamwork, customer focus, and resilience under pressure.
