Due to continued expansion and a significant increase in workload, our client is seeking to recruit a number of Electrical CAD Design Engineers at Junior, Intermediate, Senior and Lead level to join their growing team based in Derry/Londonderry.

Specialising in the switchgear manufacturing industry, the company supports projects throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe, providing expertise across electrical installation, mechanical services, switchgear manufacturing, testing, commissioning, QA/QC and critical infrastructure projects.

*The Role*
- As an Electrical CAD Design Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical designs and manufacturing documentation for low voltage (LV) switchgear and control panel projects using EPLAN.
- Producing electrical schematics, panel layouts, single line diagrams and wiring diagrams using EPLAN.
- Creating Bills of Materials (BOMs) and detailed manufacturing documentation.
- Supporting the production team by resolving technical queries and implementing drawing revisions.
- Developing and maintaining the company's standard design library to improve design efficiency, consistency and quality.
- Ensuring all designs comply with relevant industry standards and client specifications.
- Collaborating with engineering, production and project teams to deliver projects on time and to the highest standard.
*Skills & Experience* - Experience using EPLAN and/or Electrical CAD design software.
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent industry experience).
- Strong understanding of electrical design principles.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar Electrical Design role (Intermediate level).
- 5+ years' experience for Senior positions.
- Experience within the LV switchgear, control panel manufacturing or power distribution sectors.
- Knowledge of manufacturing documentation and BOM creation.
