Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Teacher of DT and IT, you will:
- Deliver engaging lessons, fostering a love for the subject and high standards of attainment
- Contribute to curriculum development, shaping schemes of work and resources to ensure relevance and depth in line with national standards
- Participate in departmental activities, including field trips and enrichment programmes, to support a well-rounded learning experience
- Track and support pupil progress, providing feedback and reporting to parents to ensure each student achieves their potential
- Act as a Form Tutor promoting positive behaviour and instilling self-discipline
Our ideal candidate:
- Holds a good honours degree in DT, IT or a related discipline, along with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Is committed to personal development
- Brings excellent knowledge of the subject, curriculum requirements and exam specifications
- Possesses strong organisational skills, a proactive approach to lesson planning and effective classroom management skills
- The ability and interest to teach some Art would be an advantage.
