Are you a dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistant, who has strong communication skills, and the ability to build positive, professional relationships with pupils, teachers and support staff? We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our secondary school team and play a key role in ensuring pupils reach their full potential.

You will need to demonstrate patience, resilience and adaptability, as well as the ability to support students with varying academic, social and emotional needs. A commitment to safeguarding, an understanding of behaviour management strategies, and a flexible, team‑focused approach are essential in helping pupils engage, progress and achieve their potential.

St Wilfrid’s R.C College is part of Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust which is one of four Trusts in the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle. The Trust includes five Secondary and twenty-five Primary Schools across South Tyneside, Sunderland and East Durham. Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust safeguards and protects its students and staff by being committed to respond in accordance with South Tyneside Child Protection Procedures. Enhanced DBS checks are mandatory for all school staff.
