Sancta Familia Catholic Academy Trust is looking for an inspirational Director of Innovation and Curriculum to lead curriculum design, pedagogical innovation, and digital learning across our schools. This is a rare chance to build curriculum and pedagogy at Trust level from the ground up — working closely with our CEO and Headteachers to give every pupil an ambitious, coherent, consistently delivered curriculum.

About the role

  • Lead a coherent Trust-wide curriculum strategy — consistent ambition, consistent impact, across every school and phase
  • Work hand-in-hand with Headteachers and subject leaders to turn curriculum intent into strong practice in every classroom
  • Design and lead professional learning that’s tightly aligned to curriculum and pedagogical priorities
  • Track national curriculum developments and spread best practice across the Trust
  • Build strong partnerships — diocesan education services, teaching school hubs, EdTech providers — to drive curriculum innovation

About us

Launched in February 2025 with five founding schools, now seven, Sancta Familia Catholic Academy Trust is a cross-phase family of Catholic schools across South London, built on love, service, humility, and faith. We lead a family of Catholic schools where everyone is known, loved, and adds value to our community.

What we’re looking for

  • QTS, with substantial, successful curriculum leadership experience at senior level
  • A proven track record of curriculum innovation with real, demonstrable impact
  • A genuine commitment to the Catholic mission and values of the Trust
  • Strong grasp of evidence-informed pedagogy, assessment for learning, and curriculum sequencing
  • Experience designing and delivering professional learning for teaching staff
  • Pragmatic, action-oriented, outcome-focused with drive, energy, and integrity

Why join us

  • Shape curriculum and innovation strategy at Trust level
  • A growing, values-led Trust with big ambitions
  • Real impact on children’s outcomes across South London

The benefits

  • Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS), with employer contributions
  • 35 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
  • A whole range of benefits including gym discounts, counselling, cycle to work, retail and travel discounts, virtual GP appointments etc
  • A newly established, fast-growing family of schools
  • A driven, supportive community built on collaboration and integrity

Equality matters

We welcome applications from all sections of the community and celebrate difference. You don’t need to be Catholic to join us — but you do need to respect our Catholic ethos, values, and mission.
