The Governors of this highly successful and oversubscribed 11–16 Voluntary Aided Roman Catholic High School are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Learning & Inclusion Lead (TA4) to play a key role within our Raise Network (SEND Department). We are looking for a dynamic, creative and ambitious individual who is passionate about improving the lives of young people and who can help shape the future of our SEND provision.
Assisting our SENCO in addition to supporting the day‑to‑day work of the SEND team, the successful candidate will take a leading role in visioning and facilitating the provision within any future SEND base the school may establish, helping us develop a centre of excellence for inclusive practice.
The successful candidate will have:
- The ability to plan, monitor and deliver high‑quality teaching and learning activities.
- The confidence to set and promote high standards of behaviour, managing challenging situations sensitively and effectively.
- Skill in engaging children and young people through appropriate differentiation that meets diverse and individual needs.
- Experience in supporting the SENCo with EHCP applications, annual reviews and statutory paperwork.
- The ability to track SEND data, plan targeted interventions and evaluate their impact.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with staff, departments and external agencies regarding SEND needs.
- Experience in implementing, monitoring and reviewing pupil passports.
- Qualifications to TA4 level or a willingness to study for this.
