About the Role
The Chair and Governors of St Catherine’s Twickenham are looking for dynamic and committed individuals to join the Board of Governors. The school enjoys an enviable riverside location and is a charitable trust with over 100 years’ experience in independent education.
Responsibilities
Governors oversee the management side of a school: strategy, policy, budgeting and staffing. They work alongside senior leaders to support teachers and uphold the school’s ethos and mission statement. Governors attend three full‑board meetings, three committee meetings, an annual strategy day, and can participate in school visits and events.
Qualifications & Experience
Applications are particularly welcomed from those with professional expertise in finance (including investment, venture capital or private equity), law, and health and safety. Successful candidates will be collaborative, strategic, and committed to supporting the School’s mission and ethos.
Commitment & Opportunities
The position is voluntary; reasonable expenses will be covered. Governors may also contribute to safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people as part of the school’s commitment to safeguarding.
