Your Role

St Anthony's Catholic Primary School is seeking a part-time Assistant Outside Schools Hours Care (OSHC) Coordinator to join their team. This is a part-time (22hpw) position, comprising of before and after school care as well as vacation care. Commencement date will be as soon as able or as negotiated with the successful applicant. The Assistant Coordinator is responsible for working closely with the Coordinator to provide programs for children aged 5 – 12 years in Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care.

Typical Duties (but Not Limited To)

  • Regularly evaluating the program to ensure it caters for the interests and needs of school age children and meets the requirements of the 'My Time - Our Place' Framework;
  • Advising families about the program, policies and procedures when required;
  • Where appropriate take on the role of Educational Leader within the service, provide guidance, and support to the team on best practice programming;
  • Working in support of the Coordinator on administrative tasks and efficient day to day operation of the service;

Mandatory Requirements

  • A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position.
  • A minimum Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent is preferred. Applicants studying towards or willing to obtain an ACECQA approved diploma level qualification, are encouraged to apply.
  • First Aid Certificate, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Training (ACECQA approved)
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.
