Lutheran Services is seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance & Grounds Officer to deliver high-quality maintenance and grounds services across two Tabeel Retirement Living communities at Cabanda (Rosewood) and Laidley. This hands-on, part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working closely with residents, site leaders, and external contractors. You will play a key role in ensuring our villages are safe, functional, and well-presented, while supporting a positive resident experience and maintaining compliance with WHS and regulatory requirements.

Flexibility can be offered regarding which four days between Monday and Friday the successful applicant prefers to work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and deliver planned and reactive maintenance and grounds works across both villages
  • Support the development and implementation of maintenance schedules
  • Maintain accurate maintenance systems, records, and reporting
  • Undertake hands-on maintenance work aligned with your skills and qualifications
  • Liaise with contractors, trades, engineers, and suppliers
  • Monitor stock levels and order tools, equipment, and chemicals as required
  • Support fire safety compliance, servicing schedules, and documentation
  • Actively participate in WHS practices, including contractor compliance
  • Provide advice to the Retirement Living Manager on building and maintenance projects
  • Participate in on-call arrangements as required
About You

You will bring:

  • Relevant qualifications and/or strong experience in maintenance and grounds services
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior or lead maintenance role
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A customer-focused, resident-centred approach
  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites
  • Current Queensland Driver’s Licence
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain
  • Desirable experience in a not-for-profit or retirement living environment
