What We Are Looking For
Applications are invited from qualified and enthusiastic educators for the position of Classroom Teacher (Prep) at St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, Rockhampton. This is a full-time contract position commencing as soon as possible until 17 January 2027. The successful applicant requires excellent people skills, a capacity to work as a part of a team, and the willingness to support students, staff and parents of the school. Applications are welcome from anyone who would support the school’s ethos and possess the following:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (or eligible to graduate)
- Evidence of successfully passing the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education Students
- Appropriate qualities, knowledge and skills to provide a relevant and holistic education
- Eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- A desire to serve the communities located within the diocese of Rockhampton
