We are seeking a skilled Maintenance & Grounds Officer who is committed to maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of our facility through proactive maintenance and repair work.

Location: Tabeel Retirement Living - Laidley QLD
Employment Type: Part-time (approx 45 hrs/fortnight)
Remuneration: $29.45 - $31.11/hour

About The Role:

In this hands‑on role, you’ll manage the day‑to‑day operations of maintaining gardens, grounds and maintenance, ensuring everything is safe, tidy, and well‑kept. You will take pride in creating attractive, well‑maintained surrounds that provide a welcoming environment for residents, visitors and staff. This role also utilises a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) arrangement.

Key responsibilities include:

• General maintenance and upkeep of lawns, gardens, and common areas.
• Maintaining outdoor areas to a high standard of presentation and safety.
• Identifying and reporting new risks while working to minimise existing ones.
• Preforming scheduled preventative maintenance and minor repairs as required.
• Coordinating external contractors and assisting with minor site improvement projects as required
• Using equipment and materials safely and responsibly
• Your work will help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Gardening experience is essential

About You:

• Experience in groundskeeping within an aged care setting or a similar environment.(highly desirable)
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to follow safety procedures and preventative maintenance schedules
• A team player with a proactive attitude,proven ability to demonstrate a customer service focus.
• Valid Police Check or NDIS clearance and Queensland Driver’s Licence
