Your Role
Applications are invited for the full-time continuing position of Consultant: Inclusive Education (sensory and physical disability). The successful applicant will provide practical, evidence-informed guidance and advice for teachers and learning support teams to support the diverse learning needs of students with a sensory and/or physical disability. The successful applicant will help school communities enact and embrace inclusion, facilitate professional learning, and provide advice for teachers and leaders on contemporary best practice in responding to the diversity of student learning needs.
Typical Duties Include, But Are Not Limited:
- Provide advice and targeted support to leaders and teachers to meet the learning needs of students with sensory (hearing, vision) and/or physical disabilities, including appropriate adjustments and NCCD guidance.
- Collaborate with the Inclusive Education team and broader Catholic Education staff to deliver coordinated, consistent services and system-level processes to schools.
- Support school leaders and teachers through professional learning, consultation and networking to build capability and understanding of specific disabilities.
- Assist school communities and families during enrolment and key transition points, and liaise with external specialist service providers as required.

- The ability to adapt and be flexible within a dynamic educational setting.
- An inclusive education tertiary qualification is desirable, with appropriate experience or equivalent knowledge, qualifications and experience relevant to this role.

Mandatory Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and current Queensland College of Teachers Registration.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.
