We're looking for a passionate and motivated Assistant Coordinator to join our welcoming Outside School Hours Care team at Springfield Lakes. If you enjoy supporting primary school-aged children to learn, grow and develop in a safe, inclusive environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Located within a purpose-built centre, our service offers Long Day Care, Kindergarten and Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) for 263 children. In this role, you'll work closely with the OSHC Coordinator to support the delivery of high-quality Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care programs for children and families.

About the Role: As Assistant Coordinator, you will support the day-to-day operations of the OSHC service while helping to create engaging experiences that promote children's wellbeing, learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Coordinator in the day-to-day operations of the service, including program planning, implementation and documentation.
  • Staff rostering, supervision and team support.
  • Administrative and financial management tasks, including fee collection.
  • Supporting the delivery of a high-quality, inclusive educational program.
  • Providing children with a safe, secure, welcoming and nurturing environment.
  • Building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
  • Working collaboratively within an established team to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.
  • Participating in ongoing professional and personal development opportunities.
  • Acting as the Responsible Person on site when required in the Coordinator's absence.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma in Children's Services (or ACECQA equivalent).
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis.
  • Current completion (or willingness to complete prior to commencement) of mandatory National Child Training (via Geckko).
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework and National Law/Regulations.
  • Experience in the education and care of children (OSHC).
  • Child protection training is a requirement for this role.
  • Effective computer skills including experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred).
  • Effective workplace communication.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to lead a large team.
