We are looking for an experienced, energetic and enthusiastic fundraising professional to lead and coordinate fundraising activity across the Diocese. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with parish priests, volunteers and parish finance teams, providing expert guidance and practical support to develop a stronger culture of giving across our parishes. You will champion best practice in donor stewardship, improve Gift Aid compliance, grow planned giving programmes and help parishes embrace modern and digital methods of giving. This is a highly collaborative and influential role, offering the chance to work with people from across the Diocese and directly contribute to the vitality and sustainability of parish life.

About the Role
The Development and Fundraising Manager will lead and coordinate fundraising activity across the Diocese, with a particular focus on parish fundraising, grant funding, planned giving, digital and contactless giving, legacy administration and major appeals. The role will help parishes secure sustainable income for mission, outreach, community engagement and the preservation of parish heritage. The postholder will enable parishes to resource their local Mission Plans, including missionary communities, wider community service, buildings for mission and the care of historic churches and parish heritage.
The role will lead the Diocese’s Parish Stewardship Programme by strengthening regular giving, Gift Aid, digital and contactless giving, legacy giving and long-term parish sustainability. The postholder will be part of the Communications and Fundraising team and will work closely with the Finance and Estates team, parish priests, parish finance committees and diocesan leadership.
