We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Day/Night Care Assistants to provide high-quality care within a care home setting. The role involves supporting residents with daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being around the clock. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering personalised care plans and fostering a warm, respectful environment for all residents. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care routines, including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support residents in engaging with social activities and recreational pursuits
- Monitor residents’ health and report any concerns to senior staff promptly
- Follow individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems
- Ensure a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure continuity of care
- Support residents with medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents during shifts
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Driving licence is desirable for roles involving community visits or outings
- Good communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with residents and team members
- Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic care records are preferred
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Awareness of care plans and the ability to adapt support accordingly
