Role Overview: This is an excellent opportunity for a Paralegal with residential conveyancing experience to further develop their expertise within a busy Residential Property team. The role would suit a Conveyancing Assistant ready to step into a fee-earning position, supporting experienced fee earners and gradually progressing their own matters with supervision. This is a billable role within a collaborative team environment and is suited to someone looking to build a long-term career in residential conveyancing. It is not intended as a route to solicitor qualification. The position is full-time and predominantly office-based in Exeter, Monday to Friday, 9 am – 5 pm. You will be required on-site full-time, with the potential of hybrid working 1 day per week after probation.

Responsibilities of the Paralegal:

  • Assist with a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction to completion
  • Prepare legal reports, draft correspondence and liaise with clients, agents and third parties
  • Maintain accurate time recording and manage files in line with internal procedures
  • Ensure transactions progress efficiently to meet exchange and completion deadlines

Requirements of the Paralegal:

  • Minimum of one year's experience within residential conveyancing
  • Currently working as a Conveyancing Assistant or similar and ready to step up
  • Experience using a case management system
  • Comfortable working in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
