A well-established and growing organisation operating within a specialist services environment is seeking experienced interim finance support. The business has a strong operational footprint across the UK and continues to evolve; the finance team is looking for some additional support during a key period.
Role Overview: The Interim Financial Controller will play a key role in supporting the business’s financial operations for the next 3 - 6 months. This position involves preparing and analysing financial information, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and delivering valuable insights to support informed decision-making across the organisation. Working closely with senior stakeholders, the role will play a critical part in maintaining strong financial controls, supporting operational teams, and guiding the business through a period of change and growth.
Responsibilities of the Interim Financial Controller:
- Leading the month-end process and producing high-quality management accounts with analysis and insight
- Overseeing financial controls, balance sheet integrity, and statutory compliance
- Providing clear financial reporting and guidance to senior management and non-finance stakeholders
- VAT returns, and ad-hoc financial projects as required
- Process data onto the new financial software.
Requirements of the Interim Financial Controller:
- Qualified by Experience or AAT qualified
- CIMA / ACCA part-qualified/qualified preferred but not essential.
- Proven experience operating at Finance Manager or Financial Controller level
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with a practical, hands-on approach
