A growing, values-led organisation operating within a regulated healthcare environment is seeking its first Finance Director. With a multi-service group structure and ambitious growth plans, the business is entering an exciting phase of development and is strengthening its senior leadership team to support long-term sustainability and governance.
The Role
This is a newly created Finance Director position, reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with the wider senior leadership team. The role will provide strategic and commercial financial leadership across the group, combining hands-on oversight with board-level influence. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, strengthening controls, and supporting continued growth within a regulated setting. The role will be fully onsite in Newton Abbot.
Key Responsibilities of the Finance Director:
- Lead the development and delivery of the group’s financial strategy, aligning with business objectives and regulatory requirements
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, management accounts, statutory reporting, and financial governance
- Manage cash flow, treasury, cost control, and financial modelling for new services and contracts
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while acting as a trusted advisor to the Board and senior stakeholders
Requirements of the Finance Director:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with significant senior level finance experience
- Proven background in leading finance within a multi-site or group structure
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial insight for non-finance stakeholders
- High integrity, excellent leadership skills, and confidence operating in a regulated environment
Circa £75,000 salary, with a negotiable wider package including bonus and pension. Additional annual leave accrued with length of service, plus long service holiday awards.
