Cathedral Appointments is looking for a driven and commercially minded Recruitment Consultant to join our team in Exeter. This opportunity would suit either an experienced recruitment consultant or someone with a strong background in sales, account management or business development who is keen to build a career in recruitment.
Based in fully serviced offices in the heart of Exeter, you’ll work closely with clients and candidates across a broad range of roles, managing relationships and delivering a high-quality recruitment service from start to finish.
What You’ll Be Doing as a Recruitment Consultant
- Managing the end-to-end recruitment process, from client briefing through to successful placement
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted recruitment partner
- Sourcing, engaging and managing candidates through a variety of channels
- Conducting interviews, shortlisting and presenting candidates to clients
- Advising clients and candidates on market conditions, salaries and availability
- Proactively generating new business opportunities and developing existing accounts
- Working towards targets and KPIs, with a focus on delivering results and long-term relationships
- Keeping CRM records accurate and up to date, alongside general administrative tasks
What We’re Looking For in a Recruitment Consultant
- Either: Previous experience as a Recruitment Consultant (agency experience preferred), or Strong experience in sales, account management or business development, with a desire to move into recruitment
- Confident communicator with strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
- Commercially minded, proactive and results-driven
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
