The Friends of Norwich Cathedral is currently recruiting for a part-time Membership Assistant. The Friends is an independent charity which works alongside the Dean and Chapter of Norwich Cathedral, as a network of people who wish to be associated with the Cathedral and support it both financially and practically. The Friends has supported many projects including the building of the Refectory and Hostry and, more recently, the rebuild of the Cathedral organ, as well as ongoing maintenance and repairs to the roof and cloister.
At present there are nearly 2,000 members of the Friends, many of whom live in Norfolk and worship/volunteer at the Cathedral while others live further afield including overseas.
The Membership Assistant will work closely with the Secretary to the Friends of Norwich Cathedral and will need to be efficient and experienced in database entry, have strong interpersonal skills and be able to multitask. This new post is for six hours a week from 10am until 1pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
