The Role requires an enthusiastic Health Care Support Worker with a background in healthcare to join a growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to specialise within ophthalmology and to work at a modern and state of the art ophthalmic clinic which provides the highest standards of care.

The role involves:

  • Working efficiently with the multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care
  • Involvement in all aspects of the Ophthalmic services including Pre and Post Operative care
  • Co-ordinating and controlling patient flow on surgery days, minimising waiting times, dealing with patient queries
  • Theatre rooms set up/clean down
  • Discharge process of surgical patients in instructing the patient on post procedure care
  • Restocking exams rooms, treatment rooms and consultation rooms
  • Assisting the Theatre Nurse Manager with the ordering of stock
  • Adhere to infection control policies and maintain theatre cleanliness
  • Maintain and develop good professional relationships with Patients, colleagues and visitors

Job Requirements:

  • Background in Healthcare is essential
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Healthcare or equivalent
  • Passionate for high quality patient safety and care
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Competent in IT
