The Role requires an enthusiastic Health Care Support Worker with a background in healthcare to join a growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to specialise within ophthalmology and to work at a modern and state of the art ophthalmic clinic which provides the highest standards of care.
The role involves:
- Working efficiently with the multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care
- Involvement in all aspects of the Ophthalmic services including Pre and Post Operative care
- Co-ordinating and controlling patient flow on surgery days, minimising waiting times, dealing with patient queries
- Theatre rooms set up/clean down
- Discharge process of surgical patients in instructing the patient on post procedure care
- Restocking exams rooms, treatment rooms and consultation rooms
- Assisting the Theatre Nurse Manager with the ordering of stock
- Adhere to infection control policies and maintain theatre cleanliness
- Maintain and develop good professional relationships with Patients, colleagues and visitors
Job Requirements:
- Background in Healthcare is essential
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Healthcare or equivalent
- Passionate for high quality patient safety and care
- Excellent communication skills
- Competent in IT
