We are looking for an enthusiastic and commercially minded Retail Supervisor to join us on a three-month fixed-term contract to support the next stage of growth for our retail operation.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, creating engaging retail spaces and identifying products that customers love. You'll play a key role in developing our supported employees, strengthening our retail offer and helping us explore how Printed By Us can evolve into a bigger, more sustainable retail destination.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role that combines retail supervision, staff development, visual merchandising and product sourcing. Fixed term 3 month contract with potential to extend.
You will:
Lead the day-to-day running of our retail space.
Train supported employees to develop confidence, independence and transferable workplace skills.
Create attractive and commercially effective visual merchandising displays.
Refresh shop layouts and product presentation to enhance the customer experience.
Research, source and introduce new products that complement our existing Printed By Us range.
Monitor sales trends and customer feedback to inform purchasing decisions.
Support the development of ideas that will help create a more sustainable and diverse retail offer.
Contribute to planning for the future growth and expansion of the business.
About you:
An experienced retail professional with strong customer service skills.
Creative and confident in visual merchandising and product presentation.
Passionate about helping people develop new skills and reach their potential.
Commercially aware and able to identify opportunities to increase sales and customer engagement.
Organised, proactive and comfortable working independently.
Excited by the opportunity to help shape the future of a growing social enterprise.
Experience working in a retail environment.
Experience supporting, training or supervising staff.
Strong visual merchandising and product presentation skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of retail sales.
Experience working within a social enterprise, charity or supported employment setting.
Experience developing new retail concepts or product ranges.
Commitment to inclusion, social enterprise and supported employment.
Knowledge of Shopify or other retail systems.
Experience supporting people facing barriers to employment.
Key Contractual Terms:
What We Offer
Β£13.63 - Β£14.04 per hour β 16-20 hours a week (10am β 2pm Wednesday β Sunday) β some flexible on working days and hours
Fixed term 3 month contract
Appointment subject to an enhanced DBS check
