Our client is a fast-growing, multi-entity group headquartered in Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol. They\'re a vibrant, entrepreneurial business entering an exciting growth phase. The team is close-knit (6-7 in the office), with a down-to-earth, banter-filled culture, and their leadership team brings deep finance expertise. As the business continues to scale, they\'re now seeking their first dedicated Finance Manager to take the reins of group-wide finance operations.
The Role:
This is a hands-on Finance Manager position with real scope for impact. Initially based at the Westbury office, the role will transition to remote working once the postholder is embedded in the business. You\'ll work alongside the leadership team, overseeing the finance function across multiple entities and liaising with external accountancy partners.
Responsibilities of the Finance Manager:
- Own day-to-day financial operations including bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and VAT submissions across all group businesses
- Collaborate with external payroll providers to ensure accuracy and timely processing
- Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with insight-led analysis
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning to support ongoing growth
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) with 5+ years\' experience
- Background in managing finances across multiple entities and working with outsourced providers
- Strong understanding of UK VAT, payroll, and compliance processes
- Strategic mindset with the ability to balance detail and big-picture thinking
- Up to £50,000 salary depending on experience
